About The Position

The Quality Engineer ensures products/services meet standards by developing/implementing quality systems, monitoring processes, analyzing data, conducting audits, resolving issues, and training staff, focusing on continuous improvement and compliance with regulations. Key duties involve maintaining quality documentation, coordinating inspections, improving processes, and collaborating across departments to achieve quality goals, from raw material review to final product testing.

Requirements

  • Must be detailed oriented and understand the importance of accuracy
  • 1-5 years’ experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Knowledge of databases (fields, tables, queries, linking, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of Weiss Technik NA Inc. Products, specifications, and options
  • Knowledge of Visual and Visual CRM. Understand CRM system, how it interfaces with other automation projects and how to best navigate it.
  • Experience in Excel, Access, and BI Launch Pads
  • Six Sigma

  • Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversees NCM process including conducting MRB and issuing SCARS
  • Supports risk assessment, root cause investigations and closure activities related to nonconforming product, CAPA and SCAR processes.
  • Performs data and trending metrics analysis related to quality system and goals: Discrepancy reports, shipped parts analysis
  • Manage and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Conducts internal quality system, workstation and/or external supplier audits as assigned.
  • Create, revise and review quality system documentation related to job activities.
  • Conducts final unit inspections.
  • Inspects incoming materials to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of Quality measurement and test instruments; including calipers, height gage, etc.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and Sampling Plans
  • Must be able to work independently in an organized manner.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
