About The Position

This role involves understanding customer requirements and determining how TechnipFMC standard quality systems and processes can best meet those needs. The Quality Engineer will assist the Project Management Team with quality issues during project execution, support product execution, and ensure compliance with contract quality requirements. This position requires cooperation and interaction with diverse internal and external parties, preparation of specific quality documents for clients, and assessment of supplier-issued quality documents. The role serves as the interface with the Supplier Quality Team for managing supplier quality issues, handling nonconformances, and leading/supporting Root Cause Analyses (RCAs). The Quality Engineer will participate in meetings with suppliers and/or clients to discuss quality matters, monitor Quality KPIs, and mentor Quality Inspectors, suppliers, and Third-Party Inspectors. The position may also involve supporting quality audits and conducting internal/external quality audits, as well as managing quality incidents. Domestic and international travel is required approximately 30% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Quality Engineer-related occupation.
  • Experience in fabrication of Subsea Equipment for proper risk mitigation and all types of welding, non-destructive testing, material properties, fabrication and testing processes.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas industry with major Oil and Gas operators, global supply chain, criticality and specifics of the business, and Safety and Environmental risks.
  • Experience with API Q1 Quality Management system to lead quality audits and process verifications, perform proper Root Cause investigations of nonconformances.
  • Experience in SAP ERP system, Engineering TeamCenter and other business applications to manage project quality documentation, nonconformances, generate Project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans, and monitor project performance data.
  • Experience with Global Subsea project execution as per ISO10006 for proper management of global project execution (supply chain includes suppliers from USA, South America, Europe, and Asia).
  • Experience in Quality Control, including all inspection tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare specific quality documents/reports required by the Clients for Projects.
  • Assess documents related to the quality discipline issued by suppliers.
  • Being the interface with Supplier Quality Team for managing quality issues with suppliers.
  • Manage nonconformances, lead and/or support RCAs (Root Cause Analysis).
  • Take part in meetings with suppliers and/or Clients to discuss quality issues.
  • Monitor Quality KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Mentoring of Quality Inspectors, suppliers and Third-Party Inspectors.
  • Support project quality audits, conduct internal and external quality audits if required.
  • Manage quality incidents.
  • Domestic and international travel required 30% of the time.
