We are seeking a Quality Engineer that will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to producing top-notch metal tubing products that meet and exceed industry standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within an aerospace manufacturing environment, preferably in metal tubing or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of quality in all products and processes.
  • Proven track record of solving complex quality issues and implementing effective preventive measures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or other quality management systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to guarantee the consistent production of high-quality metal tubing products.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials, in-process components, and finished goods to assess compliance with G&L Tube's quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing and engineering teams to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Lead investigations into product non-conformances and customer complaints.
  • Utilize various quality tools and methodologies to perform root cause analyses, and work with cross-functional teams to develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain and update quality-related documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant quality management system requirements and certifications.
  • Utilize statistical techniques to analyze data and monitor key quality metrics.
  • Generate reports and present findings to management to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality assurance within the aerospace realm.
  • Ensure that G&L Tube Company remains in compliance with all applicable quality and safety requirements in accordance to aerospace protocol.
