Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within an aerospace manufacturing environment, preferably in metal tubing or related industries.
Strong understanding of quality management principles, statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and quality improvement methodologies.
Proficient in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of quality in all products and processes.
Proven track record of solving complex quality issues and implementing effective preventive measures.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or other quality management systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Implement and oversee quality control procedures to guarantee the consistent production of high-quality metal tubing products.
Conduct thorough inspections of materials, in-process components, and finished goods to assess compliance with G&L Tube's quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with the manufacturing and engineering teams to identify areas for process improvement.
Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Lead investigations into product non-conformances and customer complaints.
Utilize various quality tools and methodologies to perform root cause analyses, and work with cross-functional teams to develop corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain and update quality-related documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and standard operating procedures.
Ensure adherence to all relevant quality management system requirements and certifications.
Utilize statistical techniques to analyze data and monitor key quality metrics.
Generate reports and present findings to management to support data-driven decision-making.
Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality assurance within the aerospace realm.
Ensure that G&L Tube Company remains in compliance with all applicable quality and safety requirements in accordance to aerospace protocol.
