About The Position

As a Quality Engineer, you'll be part of our Aerospace team working as an on-site employee in Fullerton, CA. You will be responsible for maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System, supporting various audits, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with all departments to develop procedures, identify training needs, and manage quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering in mechanical, industrial, Material Science or manufacturing engineering
1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience in the quality field, aerospace industry preferred
ASQ CQE certified
Knowledge of lean manufacturing basics and AS9100 quality system requirements
Working Knowledge of problem-solving tools
Experience in blueprint reading
PPAP and AS9102 experience
Strong organization and planning skills

Responsibilities

Maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System.
Supporting of customer, AS9100, and NADCAP audits.
Conducting internal audits and identifying areas for improvement.
Understanding customer demands and expectations of products and services.
Developing training documentation for specific processes in compliance with customer and quality requirements.
Participating in design reviews, risk management, continuous improvement, approval of routers for new products, contract review, and PPAP activities.
Creating and enforcing quality standards, procedures, and policies.
Working closely with all departments/functions to develop procedures/work instructions for new processes, identify improvement and training needs, and develop performance goals.
Communicating significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
Managing Root Cause & Corrective Action process for external and internal customer complaints.
Developing new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
Interface and assist with supply chain development and initiatives; evaluate supplier performance; maintain suppliers' qualifications up to date.
