This role involves designing and executing control plans, conducting audits to ensure adherence, and managing containment and corrective actions for non-conformances. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical field or relevant area of study and / or equivalent related experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing setting required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including excel and outlook.
  • Previous participation in ISO certification and audit systems required.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly and components is a plus.
  • Formal training in Continuous Improvement is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and executes the control plan, audits to ensure that control plans are being followed, and ensures containment and corrective action in the event of non-conformance.
  • Compiles Data Analysis, reports and recommends quality audits and inspections improvements.
  • Designs the Quality Monitoring Control Plan, including the measurement system analysis (MSA), gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R's), and gauge development.
  • Works with cross-functional team members and outside experts as required to coordinate the analysis of data review and analysis in support of final root cause and corrective action determination.
  • May coach and develop Inspector Technicians.
  • Coordinates report outs of the data analysis on multiple projects, and product lines.
  • Includes customer line and field analysis, corrective action effectiveness, and overall internal quality metrics effectiveness.
  • Designs the internal standards to be followed by the Inspector Technicians.
  • Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of the quality planning for continuous improvement.
  • Evaluates the root cause corrective action requirements and assigns appropriate internal personnel and external experts as needed.
  • Facilitates training, corrective action process review, is typically the corrective action leader and the single point of contact to the customer for corrective action.
  • Ensure all customer quality requirements are integrated into the QMS and communicate to management when gaps exist in meeting those requirements.
  • Provides an overview of the customer quality requirements.
  • Customer PPAP submittals- Supplier PPAP for new suppliers
  • Shop floor help chain, quickly respond to quality questions for production
  • Support the Change Request process
  • Provide technical support for purchased parts dimensional analysis on rejected materials
  • Complete measurement preventive maintenance of critical equipment
  • Design specialty gaging for production
  • Recommend measurement methods for mechanical gages
