About The Position

The Quality Engineer will support the overall Quality and Operations Management System by reviewing performance and deliverables of the organization. Working with all departments towards solutions and continuous improvement. This position will also provide ongoing guidance, coaching, feedback, training, and development of in-house problem-solving programs and utilization of generally accepted Quality tools. This is an onsite role at the Irving, TX DCC with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in an Engineering discipline or a related field such as Quality, Operations/Business Management, Supply Chain, or a STEM discipline, plus 2 years of relevant/equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant/equivalent experience in use of Quality programs and tools.
  • Experience with 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma with the ability to apply the same in a practical, effective fashion, certification in above a plus.
  • Experience in process/testing/automation validation.
  • Experience managing new product introduction.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 and/or QS 9000 standards
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to present in front of large groups.
  • Must have intermediate to excellent math skills; statistical background a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Must have Strong PC skills (particularly Excel, spreadsheets, databases, etc.) and familiarity.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, including effective oral communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Exceptional knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office to create spreadsheets, data graphing, statistics, presentations, effective procedures, flowcharting, and inspection standards
  • Multi-tasking ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Validate process, system integration and testing methods (Gage R&R)
  • Create and review data analysis and trending reports
  • Process mapping/control points identification
  • Meeting with members of the production team to offer recommendations and share results from internal audits or open investigations
  • Analyzing, identifying, and implementing manufacturing and/or business process improvements which will improve capability and performance
  • Provide manufacturing and system/process validation support.
  • Experience in problem solving.
  • Provide training to all personnel on Quality tools
  • Map out Quality process flows and identify potential process and workflow improvements.
  • Lead CAPA/CI initiative utilizing Quality tools to facilitate root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions and process improvements
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and process standards, while maintaining employee morale.
  • Create and utilize reports to accurately represent program metrics, tracking completion rates and percentages.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment for personnel to work in while ensuring all safety and environmental regulations are followed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
