Quality Engineer, Level 4

Snap Inc.•Los Angeles, CA
•$133,000 - $235,000•Onsite

About The Position

Snap Inc. is hiring a Quality Engineer to help deliver new experiences through its Ad Client team, which develops and scales video and display advertising experiences across the mobile ad lifecycle. The role focuses on end-to-end user experiences that span multiple teams and surfaces, prioritizing high-risk journeys, release readiness, and non-functional qualities such as accessibility, compatibility, privacy, and compliance. The Quality Engineer will help shape how the team approaches quality as it moves from embedded feature-by-feature testing toward broader experience ownership. The position involves defining test strategies for new features and premium experiences, building and maintaining high-signal automation for critical paths, and partnering with developers and adjacent teams to clarify ownership and manage quality risks at integration points. The engineer will diagnose defects, drive root-cause analysis and resolution, use AI effectively in engineering workflows, review code and tests, own release sign-off for their domain, and participate in on-call rotations. Snap follows a “default together” approach, expecting team members to work in an office at least four days per week. The position offers U.S. base salary ranges that vary by pay zone: $157,000–$235,000 in Zone A, $149,000–$223,000 in Zone B, and $133,000–$200,000 in Zone C. The position is also eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
