LAF Quality Tech Level 4
About The Position
Rea Magnet Wire is seeking a Quality Tech Level 4 to support quality assurance through product testing, process and product audits, and technical support for operations. The role performs conformance testing and process audits or validation activities, documents product in the material review area, and collaborates with Scheduling, Customer Service Representatives, Operations, and Distribution. The employee also participates in assigned projects. This is a full-time position paying $24.00 per hour starting wage. The schedule is a 12-hour shift on a 2-2-3 pattern, with static night shifts available from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Requirements
- Ability to conduct all conformance testing required of a Level 4 Process Quality Technician, using equipment such as a laser mike, dielectric tester, dissipation pot, Tg tester, Tinius Olsen, manual elongator, Techrand tester, and other specified equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to meet core requirements for testing knowledge, ability, and competency.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics defined by the department supervisor and/or manager.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work with people at all levels to achieve plant objectives.
- Understanding of key problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to conduct effective audits.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the oven enamel process.
- Experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
- Forklift certification and ability to operate a hand truck and hoists.
- Understanding of basic IATF and automotive requirements.
- ASQ-Certified Quality Technician certification.
- ASQ-Certified Calibration Technician certification.
