Requirements

  • Secondary 5 or baccalaureate in quality, mechanics, industry or similar discipline
  • 5-10 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience on implementation of Kaizen quality tools
  • Experience on dimensional measurement process, classical tools and CMM
  • Good knowledge on reading drawings, geometrical dimension and tolerancing (GD&T) ASME 14.5
  • Strong computer knowledge, in particular Microsoft Word, Power Point, Microsoft Excel
  • Bilingual (oral and written), with strong competencies for technical writing
  • Available to travel on an occasional basis

  • railroad and/or VIA Rail equipment knowledge is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Manage and Perform inspection on rail equipment
  • Manage and follow up non-conformance until resolution
  • Manage and contribute to various continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment maintenance operational efficiency in maintenance facilities
  • Ensure non-conformances identified are rectified with the implementation of corrective actions following NCR process
  • Produce and update various audit and qualification reports with KPIs for general report
  • Support QC inspectors and QA programs
