About The Position

The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving the plant’s quality systems, driving root‑cause analysis, leading corrective actions, and partnering with operations to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for quality issues, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality or engineering field or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality or engineering within a manufacturing setting, including managing a site QMS.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, intermediate ERP/MRP skills, and experience with data mining and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to build effective work relationships across functional areas and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and improve the site’s quality systems in alignment with nVent’s QMS and ISO certifications.
  • Lead daily Gemba walks and operational reviews to maintain world-class quality performance.
  • Manage customer interfaces to ensure outstanding happiness and resolve complaints swiftly.
  • Implement advanced methods like 8D RCCM and 5 why analyses to maintain and analyze CAPA logs.
  • Supervise internal quality processes to prevent defects and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate supplier approval processes and interact with key suppliers to ensure compliance with nVent standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet strategic goals.
  • Perform quality control tests or inspections as required.
