About The Position

As a Quality Engineer, you will be the single point “voice of the customer” supporting the Propulsion System Chief Engineer and Program Manager to assure segment leadership in J.D. Power / Warranty IPTV and Cost reduction initiatives. This position also represents propulsion systems with the vehicle platform program quality leadership and program teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree with 2 years of equivalent manufacturing experience
2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to travel up to 10% of the year
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and off shifts, as needed by the business

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a technical (STEM) related field
Strong understanding of quality processes and Global Manufacturing System (GMS)
Experience with PRTS, SPPS

Responsibilities

Perform early issue identification, tracking and resolution to ensure segment leadership.
Provide clear and timely communication to Quality management relative to quality issues.
Responsible for developing, testing, and creating quality solutions for medium level changes.
Defect analysis resolution and verification for vehicle subsystem quality.
Performs design reviews.
Lead launch and current production problem solving activities.
Deploy quality work according to planned development timing.
Work with the product team to identify and capture critical status updates for Quality reviews.
Facilitate Quality Review meetings and maintain integrity of presentation materials.
Support GPS Program Execution Team (PET) with quality analysis information
Analyze, project and track warranty and Customer survey information.
Support the development of the global quality planning process and templates.
Support external customer issues through problem resolution tracking system (PRTS) and supplier practical problem solving (SPPS)
Build and cultivate relationships across multiple functions and regions
