About The Position

Join our team in Clifton, NJ as a Specialist, Quality Engineer (Contractor - L3) and play a pivotal role in advancing aerospace and defense projects. This high-impact position allows you to manage large-scale quality initiatives, develop and implement advanced quality protocols, and ensure compliance with rigorous government and customer standards. Contribute directly to mission success and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 9 years of relevant quality engineering experience in aerospace or defense sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance, project management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expertise in establishing quality systems for assembly, integration, and testing.
  • Mastery of FRB/MRB, RCCA methodologies, and performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance; US citizenship required.

  • Oracle AGILE system proficiency.
  • Six Sigma Blackbelt certification.
  • IPC standards expertise in soldering, coating, and connector assembly.
  • In-depth understanding of AS9100.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and refine robust quality evaluation and control systems for complex electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Lead quality support activities, including hardware inspections, material evaluation, and electrical testing.
  • Drive strategic issue closure using expert FRB/MRB and RCCA problem-solving methodologies.
  • Generate professional presentations, technical reports, and detailed case studies to support quality initiatives.
  • Utilize metrics and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and initiate corrective actions for ongoing excellence.
  • Coach, guide, and train team members on best quality practices and processes.
  • Initiate and lead complex projects focused on continuous improvement and Zero Defect Performance (ZDP).
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, key vendors, and regulatory partners to resolve issues and maintain compliance.
