About The Position

This role involves contributing to the development of communications systems through board-level integration of high-speed digital components, commercially available chipsets, and embedded processors. The position requires product design including schematic capture, simulations, PCB analysis, and layout. Documentation of designs from requirements, testing procedures, and bill of materials is essential. The role also includes performing detailed performance and functional measurements and debug at a hardware level. Custom Circuit Cards utilizing FPGAs, Embedded Processors, networking components, and other electronic components will be created. Performance characterization of hardware over a wide variety of environmental conditions will be conducted. The engineer will use industry standard interfaces including 1GE, 10GE, 40GE, 100GE, SPI, UART, SDRAM, DDR3, DDR4 JESD, PCIe, and 1000BASE-T. Support will be provided to test engineering with the transition of hardware to manufacturing testing. Contributions to design reviews and system integration are expected. The engineer will architect, design, develop, modify, evaluate, and integrate electronic equipment, parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high-performance hardware systems.
