About The Position

The Quality Engineer Trainee will support the Quality Manager and Quality Administrator in managing and maintaining customer, interdivisional companies, and supplier expectations and requirements. This role involves reviewing contracts, specifications, purchase orders, and planning. The trainee will recommend, review, and approve changes to manufacturing plans and drawings based on customer and internal requirements. Responsibilities also include performing internal and external audits, participating in RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) investigations, providing analysis and recommendations for corrective actions and nonconformities, and assisting with training internal employees on Customer and Quality System requirements. The role also entails planning and implementing quality initiatives and continual improvement throughout the organization, maintaining control of calibrated gages and tools, and supporting the quality inspection team as needed. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any other related field
  • 0-1 years of experience as Quality Engineer
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to travel to customers and work flexible hours as necessary
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products
  • Practical experience in precision inspection equipment and calibration
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standard
  • Knowledge of inspection tools and techniques
  • Ability to work in fast pace environments
  • Hands-on working knowledge of ASME Y14.5
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, U.S. National, Refugee, or Asylee) due to ITAR and EAR compliance.
