Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
- Minimum 5 years related experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, engineering support or related technical role or equivalent of education and experience.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with precision-measurement equipment, such as calipers, and micrometers.
- Knowledge of statistical process control.
- Ability to use calibration management systems.
- Knowledge of computer systems and electronic filing systems.
- Knowledge and ability to use measuring tools and devices.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Ability to maintain an organized work environment.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, coordinate and maintain first article inspection reports.
- Develop quality related plans, procedures and work instructions.
- Inspect and modify existing templates and forms including inspection record forms.
- Confirm materials, dimensions, processes and finished components meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain controlled quality records and assist with internal or external customer audits.
- Support receiving, in-process, first article and final inspection processes.
- Develop, maintain and/or modify statistical process control data collection templates.
- Work with cross functional groups such as quality engineers, inspectors, manufacturing engineers and production personnel to resolve quality issues.
- Perform statistical analysis of process data such as capability studies.
- Create product and process certifications.
- Support continuous improvement activities, including value stream mapping, Kaizen events and 6s.
- Perform gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
- Coordinate receipt of return material authorizations and material lots.
- Assist with commercial grade dedications and borescope inspections.
- Perform process audits and report out and assess needs for improvement.
- Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
