Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • Minimum 5 years related experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, engineering support or related technical role or equivalent of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with precision-measurement equipment, such as calipers, and micrometers.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control.
  • Ability to use calibration management systems.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and electronic filing systems.
  • Knowledge and ability to use measuring tools and devices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to maintain an organized work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support quality assurance activities.
  • Provide technical support to Quality department in development and maintaining processes and/or procedures.
  • Inspect and modify existing templates, forms and programs.
  • Maintain and monitor calibration processes and certifications.
  • Prepare, coordinate and maintain first article inspection reports.
  • Develop quality related plans, procedures and work instructions.
  • Inspect and modify existing templates and forms including inspection record forms.
  • Confirm materials, dimensions, processes and finished components meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain controlled quality records and assist with internal or external customer audits.
  • Support receiving, in-process, first article and final inspection processes.
  • Develop, maintain and/or modify statistical process control data collection templates.
  • Work with cross functional groups such as quality engineers, inspectors, manufacturing engineers and production personnel to resolve quality issues.
  • Perform statistical analysis of process data such as capability studies.
  • Create product and process certifications.
  • Support continuous improvement activities, including value stream mapping, Kaizen events and 6s.
  • Perform gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
  • Coordinate receipt of return material authorizations and material lots.
  • Assist with commercial grade dedications and borescope inspections.
  • Perform process audits and report out and assess needs for improvement.
  • Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.
