In this role, you will establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in a production environment. As needed, measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals, integrate quality system applications between engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure the consistent and ongoing use of quality best practices and communication of quality issues, and facilitate troubleshooting of quality issues with diverse teams, lead causal analysis activities to drive to root cause and corrective action. In addition you will perform reviews and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records. You will perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100, recommend initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality, and provide quality assurance subject matter expertise to inspection, manufacturing and test. Periodically, you will interface with internal and external customers on quality related concerns and develop training materials to build quality awareness. In this role you will report directly to the Director of Quality in Huntsville. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of developing, testing and launching Space systems to support Blue Origin’s Vision. Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.S. in engineering/science or American Society of Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification
  • 10+ years’ industry experience in the engineering field with at least 8 years in a quality engineer role
  • Quality assurance experience in production environment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace, space launch, military/commercial aviation preferred
  • Quality assurance experience in rocket engine production environment
  • Relevant experience in transitioning a product from development, through production to operations
  • Quality Management System audit experience
  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
  • Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
