About The Position

M. Braun, Inc. is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Engineer for its Quality Department. The role supports NQA-1 / QAR projects by reviewing customer contracts and specifications, assessing customer documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable national and international standards. The successful candidate will prepare and approve project-specific quality assurance documentation, plan and conduct supplier audits and CGD surveys, and support supplier qualification and expansion of the NQA-1 Approved Supplier List (ASL). The position also assists the Quality Manager with quality questions and with maintaining and updating the company’s ISO 9001 and NQA-1 quality management system documentation.

Requirements

Five or more years of Quality Engineering experience.
High school diploma.
Highly detail-oriented, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize projects and work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to stay focused and apply knowledge and common sense to detailed job functions.
Familiarity with national and international standards and specifications, including ASTM, ASME, ANSI, AGS, AWS, ISO, and DIN.
Fine motor skills and ability to perform repetitive motion and sit for most of the workday.
Mobility sufficient to move between the office and production floor and complete vendor-site audits.
Ability to read documents and a computer screen.
Ability to hear and speak by telephone and in person to convey information.
Comprehension, organization, reasoning, decision-making, communication, and math abilities.

Nice To Haves

Engineering degree, preferably in Quality or Industrial Engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead Quality Engineer support for M. Braun, Inc. NQA-1 / QAR projects to meet customer contracts and specifications.
Conduct front-end project quality reviews of customer-provided documentation for NQA-1 / QAR projects.
Compose and approve quality assurance documentation for specific NQA-1 / QAR projects.
Perform NQA-1 audits and CGD surveys of legacy suppliers when required, and assist in qualifying new suppliers for the NQA-1 Approved Supplier List.
Plan and execute supplier audits and CGD surveys.
Travel to vendor sites to conduct audits as needed.
Issue corrective action reports and facilitate completion and successful closure of CGD surveys and NQA-1 audits.
Assist the Quality Manager with general quality assurance questions, issues, and concerns.
Help maintain ISO 9001 and NQA-1 manuals, procedures, operating instructions, and forms.
Assist the Quality Manager in updating the NQA-1 quality management system, procedures, and operating instructions to reflect newer standard revisions.
