About The Position

As a Quality Intern at Amphenol Industrial Operations, you will work alongside the Quality team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in quality control and management within a real-world manufacturing environment, focusing on problem-solving, precision, and process improvement. Amphenol Industrial Operations, headquartered in Endicott, New York, specializes in delivering a comprehensive range of high-reliability power and signal connectors and interconnection systems designed specifically for diverse industrial applications. These sectors include alternative energy, power generation and storage, rail and mass transit, process control, automotive manufacturing, heavy equipment, wireless base stations, and petrochemical industries.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field
• Interest in quality assurance, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist with incoming, in-process, and final inspection of electrical connectors, cables, and assemblies
• Support documentation and record-keeping for quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, corrective actions, and audits
• Help analyze nonconforming materials and assist in root cause investigations
• Participate in corrective and preventive action activities under the guidance of the Quality Supervisor
• Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Assist in maintaining calibration records for measurement and test equipment
• Observe and learn about ISO 9001 / AS9100 / IATF 16949 quality systems (depending on company certifications)
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to support quality initiatives
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects and improving process efficiency
