About The Position

The Quality Engineer III supports code development and quality assurance for eCommerce projects and large-scale web applications, tools, and software. The role contributes to project planning and requirements reviews, advises developers on quality requirements and testability, and develops and executes test cases and software quality assurance plans. It also participates in project delivery through code assistance, unit testing, status communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration with project and cross-functional teams. The role analyzes and helps resolve coding and testing errors, including by reviewing algorithms, querying logs and databases, and examining configuration files. It applies quality assurance expertise and best practices to support business needs, stakeholder relationships, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience using Selenium to write automation code for testing services and applications.
• Experience coding in the object-oriented language Java.
• Experience using HTML to find elements for automation.
• Experience using TestNG to write automation, waits, and generate testing reports.
• Experience using Postman to verify and test REST APIs, payloads, and responses.
• Experience using SQL to verify database connections and stored data, and to test stored procedures.
• Experience using GIT for version control and implementing CI/CD using Looper.
• Experience using CSS to test webpages and UI applications.
• Experience using WinAppDriver to connect to desktop applications and write automation test cases.
• Experience with AngularJS and Android Studio to create apps.
• No specific number of years of experience is required; the employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project team meetings to develop project plans and review project requirements.
• Provide software developers with input on project quality requirements and guidance on code development to ensure testability and reliability.
• Collaborate with project teams to establish test cases and requirements for large-scale eCommerce web applications, tools, and software.
• Write and obtain project-team approval for white-, gray-, or black-box test cases; execute them and compare results with expected results.
• Communicate testing results and needed fixes to project teams.
• Develop SQA test plans by defining testing scope, data and environmental requirements, dependencies, risks, and schedules for test deliverables.
• Participate in projects by reviewing requirements, assisting with code writing and development, conducting unit testing, communicating status and issues, collaborating across teams, troubleshooting issues, and supporting on-time delivery and hand-offs.
• Collaborate with software developers to review coding algorithms and develop unit testing plans and testing requirements based on code functionality.
• Analyze test results, query application logs and databases, and check configuration files to troubleshoot testing issues; resolve minor code errors and recommend fixes or solutions.
• Apply current expertise and best practices, provide guidance to others, and support efforts to meet customer and business needs.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, identify business needs, carry out necessary processes, monitor results, identify improvement opportunities, and adapt to competing demands and organizational changes.
