About The Position

The Quality Engineer II will ensure contractual and Westinghouse quality program requirements are incorporated into project planning documents, perform in-process software audits, and coordinate preparation for and support customer audits. They will provide certification that products shipping from GICP were produced in conformance with contract and Westinghouse quality program requirements based on records review. Responsibilities include reviewing and commenting on project documents, supporting Global I&C by coordinating Level 3 procedure maintenance activities, and confirming that CAP issues are closed following corrective action program requirements. The role also involves coordinating preparation for and supporting internal audits and ISO certification audits, and providing consultation to GIC managers and personnel on quality program questions. The Quality Engineer II will participate on internal audit teams, lead internal audits, and comment on proposed Level 2 procedure revisions. This is a Hybrid role based out of the Warrendale, PA office, reporting to the Manager, I&C Quality and Operations Planning.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree (Technical degree)
  • At least 6 years of Quality Assurance experience in the nuclear industry
  • Knowledgeable with ISO standards, ASME NQA-1, 10CFR50 App.B, 10CFR21 and other nuclear industry quality standards
  • Working knowledge of SAP

Responsibilities

  • Confirm that CAP issues are closured following corrective action program requirements.
  • Coordinate preparation for and support conduct of internal audits and ISO certification audits.
