We are seeking a Quality Engineer II that is an energetic and driven individual with basic skill sets and knowledge that they can apply to maintaining, developing, and operation of manufacturing systems. This position is ideal for someone who is process-minded, has strong prior quality experience, and loves hands-on problem-solving. In addition, this role will work with internal and external stakeholders to help resolve any issues. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Stevens Point, WI facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of quality or manufacturing experience
  • Applicants for this position must be currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, J-1, F-1, CPT, OPT, etc.). Donaldson will not offer immigration sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
  • International relocation or remote work arrangements outside of the U.S. will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ISO and/or IATF certification or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field would be beneficial
  • Prior quality engineering or manufacturing engineering experience
  • Original equipment experience (Offroad and/or automotive)
  • Ability to apply Six Sigma tools and principles such as process Capability, Gage RR, Design of Experiments, and DMAIC in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience facilitating 8D analysis and implementing corrective actions internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Customer PPAP, certifications, product measurement and testing.
  • Facilitate effective corrective actions internally and externally. Includes working with internal personnel as well as customers, suppliers, etc.
  • Investigate and determine root causes for internal and external rejections, implement preventive corrective actions.
  • Manage internal audit program and conduct internal audits to support the QMS
  • Effectively develop and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Initiate internal continuous improvement quality projects. Includes identifying needs and managing CI process.
  • Support third party quality audits.
  • Develop quality procedures to maintain controls of processes.
  • Transfer best practices, techniques, procedures and tools to peers and other process improvement teams.
  • Continue to develop core tool knowledge of quality management by obtaining additional training and certifications.
