You will work with quality, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, maintenance, product development, and our suppliers to ensure that our products conform to standards and exceed our customers’ expectations. Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years quality work experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with limited onsite supervision
  • Passion for solving problems and continuous improvement
  • Ability to interpret quality requirements from drawings/specifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Experience with PDCA, A3, DOE, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC
  • Strong knowledge of quality management and lean manufacturing principles

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing, continuous process environment
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, standards, measurement tools, and inspection systems.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, CAPA, process capability and Lean manufacturing principles
  • Minitab and Power BI skills
  • ASQ Quality Engineer certification
  • Mechanical inclination

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality leadership for assigned value stream/product line(s), working cross-functionally to continuously improve quality and quality systems
  • Ensure conformance to control plans and capability to specifications, using statistical process control and data to identify special causes and reduce variation
  • Provide reports and data on key metrics and lead targeted improvement efforts
  • Plan and conduct supplier audits and onsite visits to evaluate process capability, verify conformance to specifications, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
  • Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving
  • Perform or assist with PPAP, gage R&R, PFMEA, and process mapping on assigned product line(s)
  • Qualify changes to product, process, equipment, and gauges, and assist with equipment troubleshooting
  • Train and coach associates on quality systems, specifications, and expectations
  • Develop, improve, and evaluate test methods and associated instruments/gauges
  • Perform quality investigations, write CAPAs and deviations, and make assessments of non-conforming material
