Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! - This role is part of the Safety, Quality, & Mission Assurance team. This team is focused on monitoring and assessing processes that guide Blue Origin design, manufacture, and operations, ensuring system safety engineering, environmental health and safety, product integrity and continuous improvement processes serve the Blue Origin Mission and Vision. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers you will apply standard engineering techniques to evaluate product conformance through the execution, optimization, and validation of quality processes. This requires verifying product and process conformance, root cause and corrective action analysis, nonconformance disposition, hardware acceptance planning, and design verification. Establishes quality standards for products and processes and suggests modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final products. Works closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, product management, and production, to identify and mitigate quality risks. Audits production processes, raw materials, or suppliers/vendors to ensure that established quality standards are met. Conducts root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures. May be responsible for ensuring compliance with formal external quality standards, such as ISO 9001.
