About The Position

ROLE: The Quality Engineer II is responsible for test planning, design, execution, and automation for various Fandango applications and subsystems. Both front-end client and back-end server testing.

Requirements

• Automation scope: This role will focus mainly on maintaining an existing automation framework and adding tests to an established setup
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and common patterns such as Page Object Model
• CI/CD exposure: Experience running tests in CI pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions is a plus
• Database expectations: Database work will primarily involve basic data validation rather than deeper database development
• Experience working in Agile environments and participating in sprint ceremonies alongside developers and project manager
• Ability to troubleshoot test failures, maintain test suites, and contribute to improving test coverage and reliability
• 2-4+ years of QA automation experience is ideal
• Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-Versant worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence. This position may require up to 10% travel for onsite collaboration and meetings at a Versant office location, based on the needs of the business. The final round of the interview process will be conducted in person.

Responsibilities

• Perform software quality testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing
• Develop and document test scripts, test cases, defect tracking and reports
• Ability to work independently and own quality for business initiatives
• Create and maintain manual and/or automated test maintenance scripts, test data, and other deliverables related to the software quality assurance (SQA) process
• Review log files and other run-time documentation for defects and issues
• Work closely with development teams to support and implement applications
• Interest in both front end and API level testing, and interest in understanding the full picture of how each layer – front end, backend, data storage – interacts to make a software product work
• Ability to perform validations and trouble shooting at a database level, primarily SQL
• Other duties as assigned
