About The Position

Join MiniMed as a Quality Engineer I and play a hands-on role in keeping our medical device manufacturing operations compliant, efficient, and patient-focused. You'll tackle nonconformances, drive investigations, support document control, and partner cross-functionally to resolve issues at the source — all in a regulated environment where quality truly matters. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. 3rd Shift (Sunday to Thursday)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with quality tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, Pareto charts)
  • Experience with electronic quality systems (eQMS)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Problem solving mindset

Responsibilities

  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
  • Review, update, and maintain controlled quality documents (SOPs, work instructions, forms).
  • Ensure documentation is compliant, accurate, and audit ready.
  • Participate as a team member in internal audits, manufacturing audits, and area assessments.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, problem solving events).
  • Reinforce behaviors aligned with a strong quality and compliance culture.
