About The Position

The Quality Engineer I will ensure the overall quality of manufactured products, tests processes, create documentation, devise quality tests, and define the criteria a test result should meet. This individual will also monitor quality standards and track performance trends to identify areas of needed improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 0-3 years of experience required.
Proficient in blueprint reading.
Understand the ISO process.
Basic understanding of the requirements of ATF compliance. Full understanding of the critical role ATF compliance plays in the continued health of the business.
Understand and work fluently with GD&T symbology assigned per ASME Y14.5.
Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
Complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively to supervision verbally and in written format regarding problems and corrective action.

Responsibilities

Collect and review inspection data to ensure component integrity and investigate and resolve discrepancies found during part inspection.
Update control plans for correct gauges and order of operation.
Collect data for runoff and gauge study.
Generate and drive to completion CARs as assigned by Supervisor.
Able to review and disposition non-compliant material of minor issue complexity.
Assess issue culpability with assistance from senior staff as needed.
Identify features for inspection and correctly assign dimensional values and tolerances specified in print to a given feature.
Develop and document ISO-compliant standards under direction of Senior Engineers.
Expected to contribute to primary areas of inspection for which training has been provided.
Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
Follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
