About The Position

This position supports the Plant Quality Manager (PQM) in the successful completion of improvement projects and internal/external audits. The role assists the PQM in preparing for AS9100, Nadcap, and customer audits. The Quality Engineer I will utilize statistical analysis tools to analyze quality data and identify areas for improvement, and support effective root cause and corrective action plans. This role also supports Quality requirements when the Plant Quality Manager is unavailable and performs other essential job functions as assigned. Additionally, the position performs and develops measurement and testing methods, completing measurements/tests with written reports.

Requirements

BS/BA and 0 – 3 years of engineering/quality experience or 10+ years of direct vapor deposition/plating/thermal coatings related experience with 2+ years of direct AS9100 Quality system related experience.
Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers and suppliers, in a collaborative problem-solving team environment.
Ability to combine theoretical training with practical experience in a "hands-on" environment.
Effective project management skills with the ability to complete multiple projects independently.
Ability to work closely with Quality / Engineering / Operations on assigned tasks.
AS9100 Quality Management Systems and internal auditing experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as other computer proficiency.
Ability to support the Quality team when the Plant Quality Manager is not available.
Ability to utilize statistical analysis tools or software to analyze quality data.

Nice To Haves

Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
