About The Position

Are you known for your attention to detail and ability to solve complex quality problems? This may be the position for you! As a Quality Engineer I, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products and production equipment meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing processes, mechanisms, and equipment that uphold these standards. Your work will involve statistical analysis, control/risk mitigation techniques, and active participation in audits and corrective actions. This is an entry-level position, ideal for individuals who exhibit strong attention to detail and a knack for solving complex quality problems. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-2 Years experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related field. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and inspection.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience in manufacturing and inspection.
  • General knowledge of ISO9001, AS9001 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and testing of processes, mechanisms, and equipment to meet quality standards.
  • Develop standardized quality acceptance criteria and write detailed inspection procedures.
  • Review and evaluate in-process rejections, obtain dispositions, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Conduct and participate in internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and other control/risk mitigation techniques to improve quality processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control procedures and findings.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and other teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into the product lifecycle.
