You will be part of something bigger. This is where the best are built. We are seeking a Quality Engineer Associate in Littleton, CO to join our team! A entry level Quality Engineer on our team: Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment & conducts quality assurance tests; Performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. The ideal candidate specializes in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or quality. They may also be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to comprehend detailed work instructions, interpret engineering drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications and standards
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays depending on production needs.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to program requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Able to work effectively with cross functional groups - Engineering, Program Management and Customers with minimal assistance.
  • Knowledge of Space vehicles and architecture, programs, and requirements.
  • Knowledge and proficiency using VE-CAMS and SAP.
  • Broad mechanical and electrical production experience
  • Previous industry related certifications to include: Hardware Torquing, Adhesive Bonding, Polymerics
  • Quality Assurance inspection background preferred
  • Understanding of engineering requirements including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Production, test or machining knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management System requirements including AS9100, ISO9000 and/or AS9003.
  • Experience with Government Customers (e.g. NASA) and requirements flow downs.
  • Experience with dimensional inspection
