About The Position

SQA Services is a leading provider of managed supplier quality services, including audits, assessments, remote surveillance, corrective actions, remediation, inspections, and engineering solutions for manufacturers globally. They deploy a network of highly skilled associates worldwide to provide rapid on-site support. This specific opportunity is a contract role to perform a 1-day customer Quality Management System (QMS) audit in Chicago, IL, and surrounding areas. Associates have the flexibility to accept or reject assignments based on their availability.

Requirements

• 5+ years in quality engineering, with expertise in statistics, variability reduction, manufacturing methods, and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of RCCA, failure analysis, 8D, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• A degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to detect discrepancies and ensure thorough, accurate quality assessments.
• Effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and driving solutions.
• Willingness to travel to supplier locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Virtual and Onsite Assessments: Evaluate supplier products and processes according to client requirements using QuaSAR and ProBAR tools.
• Quality Management System Audits: Assess suppliers' QMS against client's QuaSAR QMS and ProBAR product quality requirements, ensuring procedures, work instructions, and documentation meet standards.
• Inspection Verification: Ensure inspection equipment and methodologies are capable of detecting defects and validate in-process controls and records traceability.
• Report Compilation: Compile detailed assessment reports, incorporating evidence and documenting scores and identified gaps.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with suppliers and client's internal teams to resolve quality issues and ensure effective implementation of CAPA procedures.
