About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support customer-facing quality activities and lead audit efforts within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role is best suited for a hands-on professional who understands customer expectations, has led audits, and can represent the organization with confidence and credibility.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of automotive Quality Engineering experience (required)
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing quality role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead audits and interact directly with customers and auditors
  • Strong working knowledge of automotive quality standards and core tools
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
  • Confident communicator with the ability to take ownership and lead

Nice To Haves

  • IATF 16949 certification or experience
  • VDA certification or audit experience
  • ASQ certification (CQE or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary customer-facing quality representative, supporting quality concerns, audits, and ongoing communication
  • Lead and participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits
  • Support IATF 16949 compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving methods
  • Analyze quality data, trends, and KPIs to improve performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations
  • Maintain and improve quality systems, documentation, and procedures
