About The Position

This role involves inspecting in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical units. The inspector will identify structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds using predetermined methods and specifications. They will utilize various measuring devices, and have the authority to accept, reject, or rework defective items. The work requires interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and inspection instructions, and may involve monitoring quality control processes. A key responsibility is performing line clearances to ensure all materials from previous lots are removed.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
2 years additional education and/or related experience
Apprentice graduate/ Associate's Degree in relevant discipline and 1 year of related experience
May require certification

Nice To Haves

Two years of electrical experience in the commercial, industrial, or marine electrical field.
Demonstrated basic computer skills.
Ability to inspect confined spaces, inspect at great heights, stooping, crawling, bending, climbing ladders and stairs when required.
Able to read a blueprint.

Responsibilities

Inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
Use various measuring devices.
Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.
