About The Position

The Document Controller will be responsible for performing review of all Quality System and Food Safety related documents. Performing review of Critical Control Point documentation within the required time frame, ensuring accuracy of all documentation, and that documentation meets traceability requirements. The Document Controller will be responsible for issuing all in-process documentation. Additionally, the Document Controller will be responsible for the document control lifecycle process of all QMS and Food Safety documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years experience in quality within manufacturing facilities preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Relevant experience and training within the food industry.
  • Solution oriented: Where some see problems, you think through solutions & translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
  • Self-starter: a bias towards action and can thrive in a fast-paced constantly changing environment.
  • Forward thinking: you see around corners & are always thinking of ideas on how to help improve processes.
  • HACCP Certification and/or PCQI for Human Food, or ability to achieve this certification.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Proficient in using IT office machines, Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Outlook, Zoom/Microsoft Teams teleconferencing software.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency of the English language.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all policies, procedures and standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Handbook Supplements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field (experience will be considered in lieu of this requirement).
  • Proficiency in quality management software.

Responsibilities

  • Execute document review of all Quality System and Food Safety related documentation for completeness, accuracy, good documentation, and potential non-conformances.
  • Execute document control lifecycle process of all QMS and Food Safety documents, including availability of documentation, accuracy, distribution, and periodic review.
  • Issuance of controlled batch records to manufacturing.
  • Authoring and modifying Standard Operating Procedures, Forms, and Food Safety documents for all process with input from process owners as assigned.
  • Conduct training for new and revised procedures with relevant departments.
  • Upon request conduct routine quality inspections and testing throughout the manufacturing facility, including inspections of raw materials, labeling, in-process materials, and finished goods.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Wow Bao Food Safety Policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols and standard operation procedures.
  • Document findings, report deviations, and work with cross functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials.
  • Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
  • Multi-task calmly and effectively in a busy work environment.
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed.
