Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Science, or a related technical field; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in quality assurance/control, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards and regulations (e.g., BRCGS, ISO 9001, cGMP, FDA, AS9100).
  • Proficiency in quality management software (e.g., Compliance Quest, MasterControl, ETQ Reliance) and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, Infinity QS).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills in team environments.
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing work, setting priorities and sound decision making.
  • Strong Leadership and management capabilities with effective team communication.
  • Deals effectively with company personnel on all levels ranging from production workers to Senior level management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment within and outside the Quality department.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as required.

Nice To Haves

  • CQM/OE (Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly desirable.
  • Experience with multi-site operations.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (automotive, pharma, medical device, aerospace).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS), including policies, procedures, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, BRCGS, cGMP, FDA regulations).
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance, analyze trends, and report results to senior leadership to drive process improvements within their respective plants.
  • Support internal and external audits, including regulatory agency inspections, third party, and customer audits. Oversee corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans to ensure timely resolution of findings.
  • Manage and mentor the quality assurance/control team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Monitor supplier performance and establish auditing processes. Serve as the primary liaison along with the plant quality manager(s) with strategic customers regarding quality issues and satisfaction. Support assigned plants to ensure compliance with customer response flow and CAPA investigations.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track process effectiveness and provide regular performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Champion a culture of quality by utilizing methodologies like FMEA, Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or PDCA cycles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Support the investigations into quality incidents to identify root causes and implement effective, long-term solutions.
  • Ensure all facilities, equipment, and processes comply with CNG, local, federal, and international regulations.
  • Provide leadership and focus. Be responsible for technical execution of plans and projects.
  • Ensure all quality testing complies with ASTM/internal customer requirements.
  • Oversee the plant(s) review dispositions- internal and returns.
  • Communicate strategy and results to your team.
  • Direct quality managers ensuring inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Develop staff and be able to delegate responsibilities.
  • Perform management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Serve as a coach and analytical advisor to team members and staff.
  • Oversee and supervise staff including performance and guidance.
