About The Position

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) is the province’s medical regulator. We have a mission to serve the public interest in Ontario’s health system, ensuring patients receive quality care from fully trained, highly competent, deeply compassionate, and ethically-guided doctors. The Quality Programs Department is seeking a Quality Coordinator to coordinate physician-specific cases across Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement programs. This role requires strong communication, judgment, organization, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education required
  • Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgment, business acumen, and the ability to manage sensitive correspondence.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and achieve objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and enterprise systems
  • Exceptional critical-thinking and situational awareness with a flexible, collaborative approach and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nice To Haves

  • Regulated Health Professional in good standing with their regulatory body is preferred
  • Experience in a complex regulatory, healthcare, or clinical environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management programs, medical terminology, adult education, or Lean principles is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate physician-specific Quality program cases, including peer assessments and Quality Improvement requirements.
  • Manage high-volume case activity, correspondence, questionnaires, documentation, and case tracking in accordance with established guidelines and timelines.
  • Liaise with physicians, legal counsel, assessors, and coaches to address inquiries, resolve issues, and support program engagement.
  • Prepare decision letters and other program correspondence for leadership or committee signature.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, team collaboration, and other program priorities as assigned.
