Quality Control - 1st Shift
About The Position
Terzo Enterprises is a logistics company focused on the repair, refurbishment, and re-manufacturing of pallets. This role involves using tools to correct quality issues in pallet assembly, examining pallets for defects, removing defective boards, and addressing nail-related problems. The position requires understanding pallet specifications and making necessary modifications. Additionally, the role includes troubleshooting jams and performing basic maintenance on the quality control station. The work environment is indoors, steady, and year-round, with a focus on a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ years old
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and flipping of 75-to-85-pound pallets.
Nice To Haves
- Basic tool knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities
- Uses a hammer and/or saw to correct quality issues in the assembly pallets.
- Lifts pallet to examine pallet, removes defective boards, and corrects nail related issues.
- Understands pallet specifications and modification necessary for customers.
- Responsible for troubleshooting jams, and basic maintenance of quality control station.
- Inspects pallets visually for defects, including, but not limited to, broken boards and blocks, missing components, nail defects, debris and contamination.
- Correct defects that do not meet specification criteria.
- Removes damaged boards with a pry bar/hammer.
- Cleans area during and at the end of shift.
- Performs other duties as required.
