About The Position

To ensure the quality of products manufactured during the second shift meets company standards and customer specifications through rigorous inspection, testing, and documentation. This role is critical in maintaining high quality standards, minimizing defects, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work the second shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Conduct various quality control tests using appropriate tools and equipment to verify product specifications, such as taste, consistency, and appearance.
  • Accurately document inspection results, deviations from standards, and any corrective actions taken. Maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
  • Identify and investigate the root causes of quality issues and non-conformances. Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Communicate effectively with production personnel, supervisors, and other departments regarding quality concerns and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards, regulations, and company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and reduce defects.
  • May be required to train new quality control personnel on procedures and standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
