Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Quality Control Technician Level 2 to join our team in Promontory, UT. Process Quality Assurance responsibilities cover a wide array of manufacturing areas and a broad variety of processes on inert and energetic materials. The position will start on day shift and has the potential to move to rotating shifts. Occasional overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Requirements

  • H​igh School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Basic understanding of reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Must be comfortable working with and around energetics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and final dimensional inspections to verify items are acceptable to the following requirements: Blueprints, CAD drawings, specification, Quality Procedures, and planning instructions.
  • Inspections are performed using calipers, depth micrometers, height gages, I.D. & O.D. micrometers and stationery and portable CMM’s etc. on tight tolerance materials, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Use of Geometric Tolerancing to verify true positions, runouts, profiles, flatness, perpendicularity requirements.
  • Reviews data ensuring temperature/humidity requirements are met for in process and deliverable hardware.
