About The Position

Conduct Quality Assurance audits and reviews to ensure regulatory, food safety, company and customer standards are maintained, and product integrity is preserved through documentation review and projects specified by management. Identify and alert management when food safety or critical quality issues occur.

Requirements

  • Conduct and properly carry out Quality line and finished goods audit procedures with little or no supervision.
  • Perform HACCP as trained and assigned. Take the corrective action specified in HACCP plan.
  • Conduct and evaluate various product tests related to ingredients and packaging. These tests will vary by individual customer and job specific requirements.
  • Identify and resolve quality problems as required. Report and of these issues to management along with how the issue was resolved. Document all issues on the appropriate forms.
  • Evaluate and take corrective action, when necessary, with regard to product date coding. Coding is an important part of traceability and consumer safety, and is evaluated not only for being correct, but legible and placed properly.
  • Completely and accurately perform quality control procedures, general GMP’s and housekeeping practices. Confirm these procedures are being maintained and documented.
  • Prepare audit evaluation reports and submit them to Manager (or Supervisor), Quality Assurance.
  • Support SOP development and improvement in areas of responsibility
  • Improve SOP’s for production and logistics
  • Train personnel on SOP’s
  • Ensure workplace safety and GMP’s are followed
  • Work with personnel to ensure the GMP’s are followed
  • Support Food Safety initiatives
  • Ensure the line is clean and all checklists are completed
  • Support cleaning and sanitation of lines
  • Train personnel to perform job functions.
