About The Position

The Quality Control Technician works primarily in the Quality Control department of a branch warehouse, with possible temporary reassignment to other warehouse departments based on workflow and business needs. The role supports all QC disciplines, including audio, video, and projection, and requires general proficiency with basic audiovisual equipment and computers. The department helps ensure equipment leaving the warehouse is well cared for and works reliably, supporting customer satisfaction and the company’s reputation. The position does not supervise other employees. It operates in a warehouse environment. This is a full-time position; days and hours may change or rotate, and business needs may require long hours and weekend work during high-demand periods. Listed schedules are Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and Thursday–Monday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Requirements

Education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from high school or a GED.
Experience working with professional audiovisual equipment and computer equipment.
Basic understanding of inventory software for forecasting workload.
Strong technical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform quality control procedures on returning equipment.
Ensure cases and equipment are presentable and in ideal working condition.
Diagnose, log, and repair damaged items.
Manage firmware versions for applicable devices.
Organize and store tested equipment.
Correctly process missing or damaged equipment.
Handle hard deadlines and plan workflow according to client needs.
Troubleshoot equipment.
Provide exceptional customer support for clients.
Follow direction from the department leader and managers.
Assist other departments when necessary.
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
