About The Position

The Quality Control Technician oversees the returned-product process, including testing and refurbishing reusable CaptionCall phones. Reusable products are cleaned, refurbished with any missing components, and prepared to be sent back to the field for installation with new customers. The role also supports warehouse operations and the management of returned equipment and materials. This position has no supervisory responsibilities and requires less than 25% travel.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and through written reports.
• Ability to meet or supervise daily goals in a fast-paced, constantly changing warehouse and quality-controlled environment.
• Positive attitude, team-player approach, good interpersonal communication skills, and ability to work across company departments.
• Ability to sit and/or stand at a desk and work with a computer for extended periods.
• Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and tools, and handle computer components.
• Ability to walk, bend, squat, and kneel regularly.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push or pull 10–20 lbs. frequently, with occasional handling of items weighing 20–100 lbs.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Integrity to maintain highly confidential employee, customer, and technology information in strict confidence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, processing, and organizing returned equipment and warehouse materials.
• Operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment when assigned and appropriately trained or certified.
• Organize and prioritize warehouse components.
• Manage the RMA process and test defective returns.
• Refurbish and reship returned phones that are operational.
• Become trained and proficient in all warehouse functions and operations.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports on items shipped and summaries of challenges and successes.
• Accept and complete new tasks and assignments as needed.
• Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
