About The Position
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting molded parts for cycle time, physical defects, and critical measurements. This role involves performing functional testing, verifying product compliance with quality specifications, and releasing molds that meet requirements. The technician will also reject defective material, document defects, and inspect labels, assembled parts, and packaged units. Responsibilities include verifying assembly integrity, inspecting packaging materials and production records, and implementing corrective actions. The role also requires maintaining a clean work area, adhering to safety rules, and performing other duties as assigned. Specific safety guidelines include not removing or disabling safety devices without authorization and avoiding unsafe behaviors. The technician is also responsible for mold validation measurements.
Requirements
- Ability to inspect molded parts for cycle time, physical defects, and critical measurements.
- Proficiency in performing functional testing, including leak and fit tests.
- Knowledge of quality specifications and standards.
- Skill in identifying and documenting defects.
- Ability to inspect labels, assembled parts, and packaged units.
- Capability to verify assembly integrity (pull tests, proper fitting, correct component combinations).
- Experience inspecting packaging materials, printed information, and production records.
- Understanding of corrective action implementation.
- Competence in documenting inspection results, decisions, product releases, incidents, and rework.
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Knowledge of safety rules, safety equipment, fire exits, emergency procedures, and fire extinguishers.
- Responsibility for mold validation measurements.
Responsibilities

- Verify that products comply with established quality specifications and standards.
- Release molds that meet quality and production requirements.
- Reject defective material and properly identify and document defects using inspection tags.
- Inspect labels to ensure proper information, identification, and traceability.
- Inspect assembled parts and packaged units to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Verify integrity of assemblies, including pull tests, proper fitting, and correct component combinations.
- Inspect packaging materials, printed information, and production records to confirm suitability for application.
- Implement corrective actions when quality issues are identified.
- Document inspection results, decisions, product releases, incidents, and rework; submit reports to the Quality Assurance Department.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area and comply with housekeeping standards.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety rules.
- Maintain familiarity with safety equipment, fire exits, emergency procedures, and fire extinguishers.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately to a supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support quality and production objectives.
- Do not remove or disable safety devices without proper authorization and safeguards.
- Avoid unsafe behaviors, including operating equipment in a manner that may endanger self or others.
- Responsible for mold validation measurements.
