Himalayan Dog Chew LLC is looking for a Quality Control Technician to join their team. Requirements

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year working in the food manufacturing environment.
• Must be flexible to work longer days if necessary
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
• Quality Control Experience (at least 1 year) or Manufacturing in Food Industry (1 year)
• Superior communication skills verbal and written English.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other related food safety procedures a plus
• Exceptional knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF, OSHA a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks at least every 30 minutes or when needed by Production, including checking weights and verifying metal detection.
• Check machines for cleanliness and/or allergen testing.
• Clean and Sanitize the Quality Lab.
• Record temperatures for Facility.
• Calibrate Scales.
• Distribution of chemicals for Production.
• Complete any testing for water/moisture.
• Perform Internal Audits.
• Make sure all required paperwork (especially HACCP) is completed.
