About The Position

Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring product quality by performing a variety of quality control laboratory services in the testing and evaluation of the company’s products. This position will primarily be on 3rd shift (11pm - 7:30am), but will also need to be flexible to work other shifts to cover for vacations, sick days, or other department staffing needs.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED with 1 year of technical experience, or associate’s degree with no experience.

Nice To Haves

Prefer previous QC/Lab experience in chemical manufacturing (or related) environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor product quality by performing defined tests to evaluate product properties and characteristics.
Make decisions concerning the inspection status and/or adjustments of products or batches according to prescribed instructions and procedures.
Compile information obtained from testing, record test results in company’s quality systems, make verbal reports.
Read meters, dials, gauges and scales; operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment; perform simple math calculations.
