About The Position

Carolina Beverage Group is a world-class specialty beverage co-packer for leading beverage brands, headquartered in Mooresville, NC, with additional locations in Cold Spring, MN, and Fort Worth, TX. The company boasts over 1,000 hard-working team members, and ongoing ownership investments are expanding operations and bringing new equipment to all locations, creating ample opportunities across various departments including Production, Blending, Ingredients, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehousing. The Quality Laboratory Technician is responsible for the sampling, testing, and inspection of finished products to ensure they adhere to the Company’s standards and specifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to prepare samples and perform liquid analytical testing to determine that the finished product meets the customer’s quality standards and specifications.
  • Ability to perform line checks to ensure product and packaging meet specifications.
  • Ability to perform line equipment inspections at the preset frequency.
  • Ability to prepare and organize production folders and collect appropriate production documentation from other departments.
  • Ability to perform food safety checks to ensure the filling equipment meets specifications prior to filling finished product.
  • Ability to collect and test customer and onsite retains.
  • Ability to identify and segregate all out of specification product.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete documentation of all finished product and equipment testing.
  • Ability to confirm production material and equipment setup for new production.
  • Ability to receive and test CO2 deliveries.
  • Ability to maintain a cleanly lab environment.
  • Ability to attend daily production huddles.
  • Authorization to perform daily calibrations on all benchtop and handheld instruments.
  • Authorization to perform daily incoming water and RO water quality analysis.
  • Demonstrated skills to perform basic instrument troubleshooting.
  • Ability to initiate quality holds by logging in tracking software.
  • Authorization to perform HPLC sample analysis.
  • Ability to assist in the sample collection and testing of any identified nonconforming product.

Responsibilities
