Quality Control Technician (Civil Construction)

About The Position
This Quality Control Technician is responsible for field-level testing, inspection, and documentation to ensure all construction activities meet contract specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards. They will be working directly with the Quality Control Manager on site.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in construction quality control, materials testing, or related field role
- Working knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO testing standards for soils, concrete, and aggregates
- Strong written documentation and reporting skills
- Proficiency with QC software/documentation systems (e.g., QCS, Procore, or similar)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Document daily QC activities, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Verify materials and workmanship comply with contract plans and specifications prior to and during installation
- Coordinate with project engineers and superintendents to identify and resolve quality issues in the field
- Maintain accurate QC logs, submittals, and inspection reports for project records and closeout
- Support internal and external audits, including owner and regulatory inspections
- Track and report non-conforming work items through resolution
- Assist with development and implementation of the project Quality Control Plan (QCP)
