About The Position

Loenbro is seeking an experienced, initiative-taking QC Inspector to join its growing Industrial Construction team. The position works closely with engineering, construction, fabrication, and other departments to help meet aligned project goals. The employee may need to travel to remote jobs throughout the intermountain region and beyond. The role involves inspections and quality documentation, supporting pressure testing and NDE work, and helping ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, procedures, and project requirements. The position may require travel to project sites, work in a fast-paced environment, and occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines. Work is primarily outdoors and may involve manufacturing and refining environments and exposure to physical hazards and challenging conditions.

Requirements

Knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT), with ASNT-SNT-TC-1A documented training and hands-on hours.
Knowledge of ASTM standards and materials.
Efficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Effective communication with coworkers and strong written and verbal interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Extensive ability to read and understand drawings.
Ability to learn quickly and stay motivated.
Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
Initiative and a drive to learn and grow.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
Ability to walk on uneven terrain, averaging two miles per day; stand; sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel; and use a respirator if required.
If driving is required, a valid driver's license and proof of insurability are required; drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.

Nice To Haves

AWS CWI certification, ASNT VT II certification, or ability to pass the VT II exam.

Responsibilities

Perform bolt-up and torque inspections.
Conduct piping walk-downs for punch lists.
Enter inspection information into tracking tools.
Assist with pressure testing plans and functions.
Review and file NDE/NDT reports.
Coordinate with NDE personnel on work planning and execution.
Assemble and review project documentation packages.
Perform and document inspections using drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance.
Review requirements and ensure procedures comply.
Create and implement Project Quality Assurance Plans.
Provide support and training to other inspectors.
Write inspection and test plans (I&TPs).
