About The Position

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for verifying that incoming materials and finished products are properly manufactured by meeting the requirements of internal and customer specifications. In addition, QC Techs are expected to be technically knowledgeable regarding plant processes and procedures in order to provide oversight and technical support for operations.

Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming and finished product conformance to internal company standards and customer specifications per company procedures including:
  • Verification of Food Safety and Quality processes (SOP's, SSOP's, GMPs)
  • Sanitation Verification (Allergen & ATP)
  • Weight Verification
  • Foreign Material Control-Metal Detection/Glass & Brittle Plastics
  • Label Verification
  • Hold implementation.
  • Pest control support
  • Process and Temperature monitoring
  • Following/enforcing gmp's
  • Support regulatory, certification, and customer audits.
  • Sample collection (Lab testing, retention samples).
  • Understanding the business, the needs of the organization, and supporting business initiatives.
