About The Position

Martin Marietta is currently hiring for a Quality Control Technician to be responsible for sampling and performing routine laboratory testing of aggregate materials for Maple Grove & other Metro area production sites. Previous experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate! Requirements

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required
• A valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office and computer skills
• Must have basic math skills
• Proactive in safety

Nice To Haves

• technical degree preferred
• State certified for aggregate field and laboratory testing in MN preferred but not required
• Experience in quality control in an aggregate or construction environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as mechanical shakers, scales, ovens and other lab equipment required.
• Work with industrial equipment and machinery to obtain material samples from production facilities such as conveyors, stockpiles and/or customer sites.
• Record and maintain test results on excel spreadsheets and/or standardized forms.
• Report and communicate test results internally and externally (Plant Managers, DOT, and other customers as required).
• Clean, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Inspect stockpiles for proper construction.
• Assist in investigating and resolving customer technical problems.
